1. Register your App<\/h2>\n

Please note you must have verified your Facebook account to create apps on Facebook. Click here<\/a> for more information on verifying your account.<\/p>\n

Goto : https:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/apps<\/a> and Click on Apps -><\/strong> Create New App<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Select Advance setup<\/strong> in the dialogue that opens as shown below

A Dialog Box will pop up. It will ask you three things :<\/p>\n

App Name :<\/strong> Your Application Name ( It can be anything)<\/p>\n

App Namespace :<\/strong> It is used for defining the URL for Facebook App. It must be unique. For example, If your namespace is “referralcampaign\u201d , then your Facebook App URL will look like this: https:\/\/apps.facebook.com\/referralcampaign\/<\/a><\/p>\n

Category:<\/strong> select “Promotions and Contests”<\/p>\n

Enter ‘Display Name’, ‘Namespace’ and click ‘Create App’<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

2. Configuring your App<\/h2>\n

Now, Facebook will generate your unique APP ID<\/strong> and APP SECRET<\/strong> which you would add to inviteReferrals admin panel. Once you\u2019ve created a Facebook app, go to \u201cSettings\u201d section and click “add platform”:<\/p>\n

(i) App Domains:<\/strong> enter \u201cref-r.com<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n

(ii) <\/strong>Under “Add Platform”<\/strong>, Select “Facebook Canvas”<\/strong> and fill the following details.<\/p>\n

Canvas URL:<\/strong> http:\/\/www.ref-r.com\/campaign_user\/p\/?brandid=yourBrandID<\/p>\n

Secure Canvas URL:<\/strong> https:\/\/www.ref-r.com\/campaign_user\/p\/?brandid=yourBrandID<\/p>\n

Replace yourBrandID <\/strong>with your inviteReferrals brandID.<\/p>\n

(Get your brandID from here : http:\/\/www.invitereferrals.com\/campaign\/documentation\/plugins<\/a>)<\/p>\n

Example : https:\/\/www.ref-r.com\/campaign_user\/p\/?brandid=337<\/p>\n

(iii) <\/strong>Under “Add Platform”<\/strong>, Select “Website<\/strong>“:<\/strong> Enter your site url. \u201chttp:\/\/www.yoursite.com\/<\/a>\u201c.<\/p>\n

(V) Goto “Status and Reviews” <\/strong>and make the application live.<\/p>\n

3. App Details<\/h2>\n

(i) Enter your basic App details <\/strong>as shown below<\/p>\n

(ii) Upload your brand logo’s <\/strong>as shown below and save changes.<\/p>\n

4. Configure InviteReferrals<\/h2>\n

You can update the settings in “Admin -> Facebook Timeline App -> Install App”. Enter the AppID and AppSecret of the facebook app and update.<\/p>\n

5. Install facebook Referral app via Invitereferrals<\/h2>\n

(i) Go to  “Admin -> Facebook Timeline App -> Install App”<\/p>\n

(ii) Click on Install facebook timeline app and allow permissions to manage app<\/p>\n

(iii) Select the fanpage to install application and submit.<\/p>\n
